This instrument is in the oboe family. It is longer with a bell that balloons out a little and the reed fits into a bocal?

Is a bassoon a real instrument or is it only a word that i made up? It sorta sounds like the name of a musical instrument, doesn't it?

This string instrument is too big to hold under a chin, so it is played with the instrument between the player's legs? :doh:
